Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is any injury caused by trauma to the head. Disabilities from this type of injury can include impairment of motor functions, cognition (thinking, memory, and reasoning), sensory processing, (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell), and communication. Vision Therapy can help improve long-term recovery in many of these areas and be a major catalyst to help a person return to a normal life.

Science has dispelled many myths about epilepsy; most importantly the myth that people with epilepsy will always suffer seizures. In fact, with treatment, between 70% and 80% of people with epilepsy are 'seizure free' for at least two years. In addition to medicines, diets, nerve stimulation and surgery, eliminating the Vision-Brain Conflict
(using special prisms) stops one of the triggers to seizures before they
start. Another possibility, having Dr. Stendig prescribe a special tinted contact lenses to eliminate the flicker from fluorescent lights (blue wave length) can stop another major trigger to seizures. |
